The train was pulled by a locomotive (or locomotives) from whichever of Minnesota's 11 railroads the train happened to be on. The CB&Q, for example, used a gleaming silver E7A passenger diesel on their tracks.

The floor in this car is raised to create an illusion of 'looking down at the world through clouds.' In view will be an enclosed stadium, a city of tomorrow including moving side-walks and freeway systems ... a cut away of an underground atomic power plant, and rocket airports and space stations."
1958 Minnesota Centennial Train Crew Car - A former passenger combo car. Provided accommodations for the staff.
1958 Minnesota Centennial Train Equipment Car - A baggage car used for transporting the entrance and exit ramps and other bulky items.
