A C39-8 Diesel. Likely former NSSX (National Salvage & Service) 8211. Ex-NS 8211. Exx-Conrail 6017.

NSSX 8211 arrived at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad in August 2010 for overhaul for the GBX, but was never given a GBX number. It would have been repainted where the cars were being refurbished -- Pottstown, PA.

Two of the diesels would have been run back-to-back so they would not need to be turned at the end of the line. One diesel would have been stored in reserve on a rotating basis.

To Pennsylvania Northeastern Railroad as their 8211. Scrapped in January 2021.
