The interior was to feature a dining area for 75 under glass.

An early version of the Project Book calls for this car to be a restored full length vista dome car, so it was not originally going to be a custom built car.

The car would also have served as the fifth car on the Advance Train set to scout the route for the 21st Century Limited in 1994-1995.

It's possible that a dining car from the Marlboro Unlimited Train would have been used here, rather than new construction or refurbishing an older car. Ross Rowland, one of the founders of the 21st Century Limited was a consultant on the Marlboro Unlimited Train.

The Marlboro Unlimited Train was projected to be winding down in 1996 as the 21st Century Limited took off, but alas neither train ever ran and the cars were never completed.
